How much will my app cost?
Every Appro build is a fixed price, agreed before we start: Starter App £2,495, Full App £5,495 and App + Platform from £8,495, plus VAT. The price we agree is the price you pay. See our pricing.
Do I need designs or a technical brief?
No. Start with the idea and who it is for. We can help define the first version and explore the design together.
How long does a build take?
Most builds take around 4 to 8 weeks, depending on scope. We agree the timeline before starting and share working builds along the way.
Will I own the app?
Yes. You own the app and its code, with a full handover at launch.
Do you handle the App Store launch?
Yes. We prepare the listing and submission, work through the review process and help get the app ready for customers.
How much does it cost to build an app in the UK?

Do you build for both iPhone and Android?
Yes. Every build includes an iPhone app and an Android app, launched on the App Store and Google Play together. See our iOS app development and Android app development pages for how we build for each.
Should I build a native app or a cross-platform app?
It depends on what the app needs to do. For most businesses one shared codebase for iPhone and Android keeps the cost down and the two apps in step. Where an app leans on device features, we build natively. We recommend the right route on a free call.
What's included in the Starter App?
An iPhone and Android app in your brand with one core feature done properly, push notifications, and launch on the App Store and Google Play. It is usually live in about 4 weeks, for £2,495.
What's the difference between the Full App and App + Platform?
The Full App (£5,495) adds customer accounts, payments, subscriptions or bookings, an admin dashboard and analytics. App + Platform (from £8,495) adds a web platform alongside the app, multi-user roles, marketplaces, advanced AI and custom integrations. Compare every package.
Can you build an MVP to test my idea?
Yes. The Starter App is designed as a minimum viable product: a polished first version you can put in front of real users quickly, then grow from. Read more about MVP app development.
Can my app take payments, subscriptions or bookings?

Can my app include AI features?

Will I get an admin dashboard to manage my app?
Yes, from the Full App upwards. The admin dashboard lets you manage users, bookings and content yourself, without asking a developer every time something changes.
What happens after my app launches?
Every build comes with a 30-day post-launch warranty for fixing any issues. After that you can keep the app looked after with Appro Care, and grow it with App Store Optimisation, Apple Search Ads and Meta Ads. See our app growth services.
What does Appro Care include?
Appro Care is an optional monthly plan that keeps your app updated for new iOS and Android versions, fixes bugs, monitors it and makes small improvements, so it keeps working as phones and app stores change.
Will Apple and Google approve my app?
We build to the App Store and Google Play guidelines from day one, prepare the listing and handle the submission and review for you. If a reviewer asks for a change, we make it as part of the launch.
What ongoing costs should I expect?
Apple charges $99 a year for a developer account and Google Play a one-off $25. Hosting depends on how many people use the app, and Appro Care is optional. There are no per-user fees from us.
Is the price really fixed?
Yes. Once we agree the scope, the price does not change. Extras are only quoted if you ask for new features, and you can see every package on our pricing page.
Can you take over or rebuild an existing app?
Yes. Share your current app on a free call and we will tell you honestly whether it is better to improve what you have or rebuild it properly.
Do you work with businesses outside Kent?
Yes. We are based at Manston Business Park in Ramsgate and work with founders and businesses across the UK, on video calls or in person in Kent. Read more about our app development in Kent.
Who will I be working with?
Our in-house team, led by our founder and director, Max. Our developers design and build your app, our creative lead handles your App Store visuals and launch content, and you have one point of contact throughout, with no hand-offs to outside agencies.
Can I see progress during the build?
Yes. You approve the screen designs before any code is written, then test working builds on your own phone as the app comes together.
Can the app connect to the software we already use?
Usually, yes. The Full App connects to tools you already use where they offer an API, and App + Platform includes custom third-party and API integrations.
Will my app be able to grow with my business?
Yes. You can start with a Starter App and move up to a Full App or App + Platform later. App + Platform builds are designed to scale to thousands of users.
